Course Overview
WPHS has established a collaboration with the Amazon Future Engineer sponsorship program and Project STEM to offer computer science courses.
These courses will provide students with the opportunity to engage in the following areas:
CS Explorations 1 utilizes the MyCS Scratch curriculum, enabling students to interact with computer science as a tool for creativity, communication, problem-solving, and enjoyment.
CS Explorations 2, based on MIT's AI curricular resources for K-12, is aimed at helping students investigate artificial intelligence and its extensive societal implications.
CS Explorations 3 facilitates the transition from block-based to text-based programming in Python. It features interactive learning units and projects that highlight computer science as a medium for creation, including app design, LED art, music, and more.
